I would like to know what slings were used on LB rifles? I would like to find period correct 43'No4 MK1* dated sling but no idea what to look for or where? any sites that discuss the different slings used on these rifles so I can research or if anyone here can steer me in the right direction I would appreciate the information.

Any British army sling from the period should be correct as the sling was issued by the military not the rifle manufacturer.
Over here there are lots of them on e-bay. Originals between £15 and £20.

Any khaki web sling would do there was no "matching" involved. Do be aware of "reproductions" though.

I think I would like to throw on a NZ marked sling just because of the markings on the rifle, I was reading M.E. Co. was one of them, any others?

My 1941 Long Branch has a C broad arrow stamp on it, all original and a bit faded with 1941 also visible.
