Please excuse my lack of knowledge in regards to this rifle. I have never worked on one,let alone, held one.The receiver is in fact an original P-14. The barrel and aftermarket stock of unknown origins were advertised as P-17 items. I was just asked on another thread as to what it is. My opinion is that,it is a P-14/17. Like the subject line says, all I know for certain is that it goes boom, when you pull the trigger backwards. It definitely looks better then what it did a week ago. It's still an Enfield too...

these rifles were both the products of the same companies , two very separate contracts but the overlapped a tiny bit in some ways , this is the beginning of the end of US arsenals and the beginnings of our contract rifles , similarly the commonwealth contracts supplicated their arsenal production ,
the commonwealth contracts followed their standards of production , ours required the added interchangeability of our standards , there are many bits that interchanged between the two contracts and many that can be made to interchange to a degree , but nothing about this is easy really so it exemplifies Goosic's ability in the shop , these were a robust action that was used extensive this side of the pond for custom sported items as well as sold to south american contracts with significant changes ,
