Well. I loaded up a bunch of Sierra Matchkings to experiment with but a couple of home projects got in the way. Finished putting up 25' of fence last week and yesterday the wife and I got 5 yards of gravel (7.5 ton) and spread it 8' x 70' in our back alley. Of course, the pile was dumped at exactly one end of the intended work. We used spade shovels and five gallon pails. Took us 3.5 hours. I believe I'm getting to old for this kind of stuff!

Shifting gravel is hard work. 5 cubic yards is a lot of gravel; I think you did well getting it done in 3.5 hours. Probably time for a hot bath and a beer!
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!

it's great to have a partner that shares the work load; not just the account!
My wife is also a dab hand with a cement mixer. We are restoring our house and we've done all the plaster board and insulation; all the tiling and kitchen ourselves. Just got professional for electric and plumbing; (too many regulations).
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!
