I leave October 24 and return whenever, most likely after the 1st of November. My #4/Mk1* Longbranch/Parker Hale sporter conversion is my main instrument of use. I hunt in BC in the 3:29 management unit outside of Kamloops nearer Red Lake, BC. Wish me luck and temperate weather without the snow this time, thanks. Prepared for any eventuality no matter what. Pictures will ensue upon return.

Have a great trip. That looks like some pretty rugged country.

You betcha, I'll post pics as soon as I get back home. Just a few pics of the area we camp at down slope from the mountain valleys. This used to be a marshalling area for a 1930's logging operation so it is flat and wide. It gets so black at night you can't see your hand in front of your eyes! A huge fire like this one is so welcoming.

Mostly cloudy with a some rain at lower elevation but once in the high mountain the snow was falling like white butterflies. Temps down to -5C at night, highs of 8 during the day. Each one of our hunting party of 4 bagged a buck but we didn't see any black bears but we are going to go hunt the bruins next weekend much closer to home base. A great time was had by all and the bottle of Advil saw plenty of use in the mornings....single malt consumption around the campfire will do that to a fella!

I'm off on Saturday.Hunt starts on 3rd.
I know we have a large bear around the cabin, & we saw 3 deer last Wed. up there.
Got 2 new guys there (for 3 days only). I'll have to read 'em the law about Elk, Moose & mis-identified targets! New guys always worry me
