I love the .22 Enfields

Sht Rifle Mk III

My No.8

so far im adding a couple of my US 22s , the top one is an M1903-A4gery [an A3 with weaver 330 scope added that was converted to 22cal with a custom made 16" insert i had fabricated by a machinist friend [and japanese collector of renown ]

the lower is a springfield NRA 1919 model that was intended to mimick the M1garand rifle

here are my [from top to bottom ] Cno7 mkI 1945 Longbranch , no2 mkIV* converted from a 1910 BSA mkIII in the early 20s , and the last but favorite to me is my Cond II converted in 1912 from a Enfield made MLM mkII dated 1892 ,

the last came with the box mag but as converted these did not have that , the empties dropped free rather than being collected in the box mag she!!

the top one is a 1968 Colt US M16 upper on a DPMS lower fitted with 1968 furniture that sports a 22cal conversion bolt and a copy of the correct scope , i do have a 556 bolt for it too , it is semiauto only [but i would love to have the three round burst - just not the expense of the tax stamp and such]

the bottom is my Cooey Mod 82 canadian trainer made in 1944 , i succeded in finding the rear peep sight that makes it a no4 trainer , it came with the rear ramp sight that makes it a no1 trainer,

this is the conversion unit i designed and had roy make me for the M1903A3

Never have had, nor probably will have, a Lee Enfield .22 Trainer. But I absolutely love my M82 Cooey and think it is one of the most simple, rugged, reliable and classic looking "non-LE" . 22 trainers oot there... but as a once proud (and hopefully after our next election proud again) Canuck I'm probably extremely biased!

	my M82 cooey shoots better than most any 0ther 22cal rifle i own and i have a fair number of all sorts ,
