Maybe but its TR, not FR, mate. I think its just a poorly struck "FTR". If you look closely the top right end of the "F" shows up.

WellI have to admit that you folks surely do know your stuff! Have to ask, a brass butt plate has a hole for a cleaning device I believe, would this be a rod or a brass weight and rope? nothing there now but just curious.

A brass oiler and a pull through is what would have been in your rifle.

By all means get one, but keep it as a souvenir, not a cleaner except in an emergency.
They damage muzzles really easily.
