Great idea Brit! A smallish clear hose such as can be purchased at aquarium supply stores would probably do the trick!

or some thick wall 1.4" pvc pipe!
The funnel is mostly a collectable, but as I have one I was gifted by a member I put it to good use.Wink

I've seen a couple of handmade ones being used after matches although this was some years ago.
There was the unmistakeable hand of a plumber involved looking at the copper pipe attached to a .303 case which was missing about a 1/3 of the length so the upper chamber got a good soaking of hot water.
