I went to the range this morning to sight in my sporterized Enfield with the yellow laminated stock using the Woodleigh 215grn bullets. The rifle was originally zeroed in at 100 yards with 174grn BTHP bullets. I set the first target out at 50 yards, aimed at the 12 O'clock of the bullseye and fired. First shot hit 8" below the bullseye.  Second shot was aimed at the same 12 O'clock and the shot hit the same hole as the first shot. Started making the course corrections to the scope until I was hitting  the six O'clock of the bullseye while still aiming at the 12 O'clock. I made two ten shot groups and averaged out the horizontal and vertical displacements of both at the initial 50 yards. It averaged out to 1.68". I made two more ten shot groups at 100 yards and the shot displacements barely made it inside the bullseye which is a two inch circle. I had two other individuals shoot the rifle, ten shots apiece to see if my original groups are because of me. Both shooters made identical groups just like mine. As a sidenote. It is best that you do not get the barrel hot hot. The bullets start to resemble bumble bees out gathering pollen. With a cold bore, you're good to go with that first shot and two consecutive follow up shots. After that you start to get a lateral deflection of almost two inches. The 215grn Woodleigh bullets will make for an excellent hunting round, as long as I am not having to rack round after round through the rifle...

That is a good looking sporter. sound's like it's nicely dialled in for hunting.
How's the recoil with the 215 grain bullets?
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!
