Fellas, remember it is the inside diameter not the outside diameter. The feds are dumb as a bag of rusty hammers! Imagine shooting a choked shotgun without the choke installed? The threads would be obliterated in quick fashion.

I don't have a side by side Canuck..(& I don't have a 10Ga, either.) My 12 Ga Winchester 1300 is a semi auto, modified.
Still...when bad government enacts bad legislation - UNILATERALLY - it must & WILL lead to "opposition". Bad government must be removed by the people!

This is absolutely incorrect and we will be reaching out to them to correct their misunderstanding. Both 10 and 12 gauge shotguns are under the 20mm provision, and thus not subject to the prohibition. Our government is taking action to protect Canadians by banning assault-style weapons – not those used for hunting. The truth matters." |

Oh yeah!@ Hanguns have been heavily restricted since like - 1925. As time goes by they seem to get stricter & stricter.(I'm licenced for handguns..but the hassel just aint worth it. I took my Navy Colt B/P back stateside years ago.)
The hoops a handgun owner has to jump thru here is nothing less than stupid!

I hear they're hastily pulling back from the ridiculous "20mm" rule now someone explained to them that a 12 bore with no choke is NOT an Aden Cannon! I remember the whole "nothing over "49 caliber" [sic] thing here. They had no idea that a musket was frequently fitted with a bore "in excess of half an inch, so it could shoot down aircraft" rubbish.

Send a letter to jt and tell it you need your gun right to protect Canada from foreign invasion.

Well, next I'd wager it will be those nasty high-capacity shotguns - you don't really need more than two she!!s for bird, do you? And after that those super powered sniper rifles, after all a 30-30 can take a deer so you don't need anything more powerful than that. And then any lead ammo - for the environment, and health, don't you know like they are doing in California.

The only thing they need to ban in Canada and I suspect in most all other countries is the root cause of gun violence... immigrants that do not respect life and peddle dope... not one politician will come out and say it. Except perhaps Max Bernier. Get rid of the drugs, gun violence gone. Make immigration about people that can better your country and not about asylum. The asylum scam has allowed other counties to rid themselves of the bad apples. Like when Castro emptied the jails and Looney bins and sent them all to the US.
