Hey, everyone.  Just picked up my first Enfield.  Numbers matching.  Magazine, stock and assembly all have PF56727.  After a quick search, I think it's a Faz.  That said, is there any way to tell when exactly it was made, and which bayonet would've been used on it?  I'd like to get the correct bayonet.  Thanks!

Probably either a spike or a No9 Mk1

you are correct in that being a FAZ , the PF prefix was used in late production ,

yes , the sn can be checked against the production tables and a year can be established ,

as stated any of the four spikes would be correct or the no7 or no9 bayonet would also be correct , the only ones that came with a bayonet from the factory were the very late mummy wrapped rifles , the rest were issued from supply chain according to what was available , if you like the look of one more than another go ahead ,

Bear in mind the No7L (top) looks cooler than the No 9 (bottom) but is less practical. It could be used to shoot itself! The end of the handle rotates 180° to get the blade below the departure line of the bullet when attached to a No4 rifle, but they miscalculated!
The No7L indicate pretty much parade purposed only.
