Pukka, as requested! a few photos from my work.
Photo1: DB4 in foreground and DBS on the lift.
Photo2: Engine out of a One-77. This was a very big job just to replace some leaking cam cover gaskets!
Photo3: Vanquish transmission replacement and to set up of the shifter system (paddle type gear shift)

It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!

Nice clean shop! Cleanliness usually signifies quality craftsmanship.

When I see things like that and the work required to get to a small repair, I sometimes feel like strangling the engineer. When I worked, we had huge turbo machinery. The work required to fix a shaft seal leak... unbelievable! We were compressing hydrogen to #2500, so an oil leak is a big deal. Pretty glad my wife prepared us for Freedom 55!

I remember the DB7 being tested on "Top Gear" and wanted one of those as well!

( the proper "Top Gear" that is,  not that watered down this side of the pond product)  :-)

That brings back some memories from when I was lucky enough to work on E-types and a lovely DB6 where I did my apprenticeship.

That is indeed a lovely workshop.

This were I started, working in my Dad's garage when I was about 10; during holiday's and Saturday morning's. I'm on the right; leaning on the Roll's Royce headlamp. I'm not sure of the exact date; but probably 1974.

ahhh yes , the beginnings , who knew where we might be today ? in 74 i was out of college and starting a career i had though nothing of when i started , i was still lamenting not getting to woodstock - even though we made it half way before the car breakdown , i still had long hair - ok it was still dark - now its long and all white ,

the changes in mechanical knowledge , you might never have imagined then , i know i did not , who knew that computers were going to run the future of mechanics back then ?

I remember my dad in the 70's tuning twin 40's using a stethoscope.

He got it right as well.
Grandfather was a motor engineer as well as farmer.

Anyone remember the see through spark plugs?
They had a fused quartz insulator & you tuned by watching the flame color.
That & the "U" shaped aquarium hose with a little colored water for balancing multi-carb setups?

We used to use the same set up (clear hose, coloured methyl hydrate to prevent freezing) to calculate loss of product because of leaks. Manometer I believe the Engineer called this rig.
