   Sorry for the confusion Shamu.
The Headstamps pictured here are from two different manufacturers.  The PPU cartridge on the left and the Igman Industries cartridge on the right are made by two separate companies. 
Igman started ammunition manufacturing in 1950 whereas PPU started in 1927...

Take a look at the primer seal on the nny headstamped round.  It is a pretty distinctive colour and common to both PPU and Igman produced ammunition.  Boxes of PPU ammunition have been found to contain rounds containing both PPU and IG headstamps.

They may not have been the same company but were clearly producing ammunition together at some point.

Yes, the “.303 BRIT” stamps look the same too.

All I was told in an email from (Mirsada Kadić) at Igman is that their 303 ammunition is not the same as the PPU/NNY 303 ammunition and that the two companies are not associated with each other. 

+387 36 281-201 is the daytime phone number if anyone wants to get the same response I did...
