Well, I guess I'm guilty. I have posted only a couple times, I'm new at this. I sent out a reply in response
to one of your members wanting a #3 magazine and I have one I would sell to him at a market price. I also mentioned I have many sets of #3 & #4 wood, some of it brand new and others that are "take offs" but would look ok with a little cosmetic work. I acquired the new wood sets 25 years ago from Victoria Trading in Utah but that may have been "before your time." In any case, I would rather have the wood sets in the hands of Enfield owners rather than sitting in my attic, I no longer have any use for them and I would pass them along to Enfield owners on the forum at very reasonable prices, not those high prices I see on the net. The rules of the forum apparently won't allow me to do this at the present time but it would benefit the members if they were aware of what I have and my willingness to pass it along to those that need it, essentially, I'm doing this for them, not for myself. So, the ball is in your court as to whether
or not you are willing to make a concession since it will benefit your members.
Thanks for your consideration on this and BTW, I am terrible at this forum stuff, I'm old enough to remember when the first TV sets became available so you can understand why I have issues with all this new electronic stuff.
Thanks, Paul in Scottsdale, Arizona a new member of about a week ago. I have no less than 28 Enfields,
6 of them are #4's and the rest are #3's including one 22 trainer with a 4 digit serial #. I am mostly into M1 Garands and converting them into National Match specifications, I have 10 of them, 4 are in 308 ca.

I would like to give your readers some of the .303 accuracy and a short story.
I arrived in Fairy Meadow in 1964 from the Uk staying in fairy meadow hostel for six week, I will cut this a little short as it is a good story I think, if I put the lot in.,
I started working in BHP and swooped a driver a trumpet for a .303 Canadian long Branch rifle as I could not play the trumpet.
Having just arrived I joined the Bulli Rifle club that was shot on the Bellambi rifle range, I only had 100 pound a wife and a small 1 year old baby no car or any family.
I used to get on a bus with a .303 rifle no rifle bag and no sling, I would put the rifle bolt in my back pocket, yes I got a few looks but nothing was ever said. On the 14 September 1968 I shot 20 consecutive bulls eyes at 600 yds from memory the target was 24 inches. I claim this is a world record for the following reasons, no telescope, no rest, open sights, and army issue ammunition.
I still have the trophy and my son and grand son gave an engraved ring with this score on it. I think Bill Cleaver was the secretary and George Lewis was the Captain of the Bulli club at that time.
I know far better scores have been shot but with hand loaded amo useing rests, also telescope's.
I would like to claim this as a world record but the historian at the Queensland Belmont range does not have any Infor this far back. it would be interesting to hear from other shooter using the same .303 straight out of the x-army box. it would be interesting to hear what other shooters say, if they can still get early ammunition, just some interest for some target shooters I never saw the bulls eye , I used to frame the Target. if this is sent to the wrong place perhaps you can sent it to the right place for me thank you so much

regards simmo

Howdy Simmo;
Was just feeling me through this new forum meself today, know your story well from the Bulli to Kiama knew the area well different time’s & era back then. The seaward rock bench backside of the Wollongong harbor was used as a range before the Bellambi was setup later 60’s.
Cheer’s all the best there.
Anyone seen the Tardis Box anywhere? 🤨

I'm sort of new myself but I believe you need to make several posts before you are eligible to
post images.

Sorry its an anti SPAM & Troll feature.
Once Eric OK your member ship you can post, but the first 20 (IIRC) posts need to be approved.
Theres also a block on selling or buying during that time frame because we've had possible members just try to join, post their wares & vanish. I guess thats what you triggered maybe?

There's usually someone on here several times a day who does these & the 20 goes by pretty quickly as we're a chatty lot.

Because the moderators are all volunteers and have family as well, we get to the approvals as soon as we can. Sometimes it takes longer than we like, but we eventually get it done. If your post takes an abnormal amount of time for approval (days rather than hours), feel free to contact me and I'll see what I can do.

Simply put it appears.
How long did you have to wait, just so we can get a feel for any problems.?

How were you denied? Was there an error? Which forum were you trying to post to?

Mine looks the same except it says 1918 and no letters on the very bottom. Did you ever find any info on it?
I dont always know what I am talking about but it makes sense to me. So let me be.
