Regarding post approval for all new members.

We have been having some notification issues regarding new member posts. Ordinarily, we can see new member posts, that need to be approved, almost instantly. However, we seem to be having a problem with the site database sending notification.

Having said that, I also want all new members to know that there is a minimum of 20 posts required in order to post without approval. This is only because of the crazy number of spam accounts that attempt to sign-up everyday and then try to post on the forums. This is not a new policy.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

Thanks for understanding.
Eric

Irritating as it may be its nowhere as irritating all the spam we'd get without it would be!

Hi Please accept this letter. due to my age 78 and lack of understanding this program.
I would like to give your readers some of the .303 accuracy and a short story.
I arrived in Fairy Meadow in 1964 from the Uk staying in fairy meadow hostel for six week, I will cut this a little short as it is a good story I think, if I put the lot in.,
I started working in BHP and swooped a driver a trumpet for a .303 Canadian long Branch rifle as I could not play the trumpet.
Having just arrived I joined the Bulli Rifle club that was shot on the Bellambi rifle range, I only had 100 pound a wife and a small 1 year old baby no car or any family.
I used to get on a bus with a .303 rifle no rifle bag and no sling, I would put the rifle bolt in my back pocket, yes I got a few looks but nothing was ever said. On the 14 September 1968 I shot 20 consecutive bulls eyes at 600 yds from memory the target was 24 inches. I claim this is a world record for the following reasons, no telescope, no rest, open sights, and army issue ammunition.
I still have the trophy and my son and grand son gave an engraved ring with this score on it. I think Bill Cleaver was the secretary and George Lewis was the Captain of the Bulli club at that time.
I know far better scores have been shot but with hand loaded amo useing rests, also telescope's.
I would like to claim this as a world record but the historian at the Queensland Belmont range does not have any Infor this far back. it would be interesting to hear from other shooter using the same .303 straight out of the x-army box. it would be interesting to hear what other shooters say, if they can still get early ammunition, just some interest for some target shooters I never saw the bulls eye , I used to frame the Target. if this is sent to the wrong place perhaps you can sent it to the right place for me thank you so much

regards simmo

Its not a calendar thing but a meaningful post thing. IIRC the head count needed is 20.
