Since my heart attack back on the 1st of Aug, my boat project has pretty much ground to a halt.
My road to recovery is well under way now, only took 16wks( Angry ) to get the procedure to unclog a major  artery.
So to keep myself occupied with something fun and with minimal strain I found this and decided to work on cleaning it up and replace any missing parts if possible.
It is a true PH custom #1, with correct Sile stocks and scope mount, built on a Lithgow action to boot, and all this fun for a measly $350, just couldn`t pass it up.
Here`s a couple pic from the guy I got it from, I`ll post more when I`m done with it.
As seen in the first picture, it needs the front sight hood, K98 hood perhaps, there`s lots of them abouts for cheap...

I also picked up another Enfield sort of project, I`ll discuss at a later date still rounding up parts for it, thus my last two threads in the wanted forum.

Thanks Shamu,
no one to blame but myself, 45 yrs of smoking took its toll, so there you have it, if you smoke, don`t.
I`ve quit, its been 4 months so far, and its still hard.
But on the up side, the cash I`m saving is going back into my hobbies, boats, guns and bikes.

I quit several years ago during an enforced horsepustule visit for double pneumonia.
It does get a bit easier every day as time passers.

So the PH custom #1 arrived the other day, and its in decent shape 8/10 overall condition. missing a couple bits to make it complete, but overall I`m happy.
My other project arrived as well, one I took a gamble on.
Turns out a .222 Rem converted No1 mkIII  was a waist of money, well not a lot of money but a waist just the same.
The fellow I got it from claims he knew nothing about it. The barrel used to convert is a pristine No7 barrel (now ruined and not even indexed correctly), rendering the use of any bullet over 50grns useless and would need to be no greater than .223 dia.
The receiver and bold match and are SSA manufactured, though the charger bridge is missing and has 3 terribly executed holes drilled for some kind of mount.
Im so disappointed, not at myself but for the bubba d**k who did this to an SSA No1 MkIII rifle.

All the bits finally arrived for the PH, thank-you Gossic for the goodies. The .222 conversion was given to a fellow who needed parts, I was told not to shoot it if I liked my face.
So yesterday and this morning I put the PH back together, and it looks very agreeable if I do say so
myself.
Its a PH Supreme No1 built on a 1918 Lithgow action, all numbers matching, bolt, barrel and receiver.
PH script on the barrel top, PH front and rear sights, PH scope mount, rail and rings,(thank-you Goosic), correct 5rnd magazine, thought not marked PH or serialized, it is marked on the bottom, Made in England.
The wood work and butt pad were pretty rough, so while waiting for parts, I restored them. Nice satin 10 coats hand rubbed tung oil. And the faux rosewood bits are real, the forend piece was loose so need repair.
The sling is a hand made Ching I got out of the UK, bought 2. Smile
Every part on this rifle has Auzzi marks of one sort or another so its not a mix and match, there is a date stamped on the side of the Knox, 6 51, so could either be an ftr or the PH build date.

It has a mag cut off action, so I installed one of my cut offs, and put a Lithgow stock disc in just for shytes and giggles
The scopes` a Bushnell Prime, 6-18x50 side focus, target turrets.
