I found an unmolested custom stockset for the No4/5 rifle made for Herter's Sporting Goods back in the early 60's. Alot of hours worth of sanding, filing, and Dremel Tool work later and it is fitted specifically to this rifle. I like the way it looks...

i agree - you do nice work , i dont always get them but i appreciate them , far better looking than what im used to seeing in sported rifles and some look quite new - meaning they would grab attention next to brand new offerings - far superior to most of what is getting offered on the market to me , id pay more for that quality ,

how does it shoot ?

I like it but I have never used it. With the current setup, the rifle fully loaded weighs a little over 10.50lbs. That and the scope which is a BSA Platinum 24x44 is strictly setup for long range shooting only...

A square 10: The rifle is a very respectful MOA shooter out to 300 yards which is the furthest I have shot with it...

All of the boxes are checked in detail and quality!
Very nicely done!

One of my Enfield’s still sports the Herter’s black walnut stock I purchased direct when they were still in business in the little town of Waseca Minnesota, USA

Their well thumb worn catalog was a favorite reading matter at the time
