My brother-in-law forwarded an interesting (to me) video on using 5.7 brass to make .303 projectiles. The video, entitled "Making Jacketed Bullets from 5.7x28 Brass" is quite short, but looks extremely doable. The B - I - L miked the only 5.7 case he had and it measured .314 diameter at its widest.

I remember people making 223 jackets from 22 casings.

Currently doing this is of somewhat limited practicality as the 5.7 brass is not exactly plentiful, or cheap, when you do find it. But still, to paraphrase Captain Marco Ramius (Sean Connery) in the movie "Red October", this info could be useful when the time comes.

Probably so, but then it does apparently provide a "truer" bore diameter, I suppose. I know of no source for .313 or .314 bullets FWIW. Just sayin'.
