The scabbard showed up today for my Hooker P07 ICR476

Coldstream Guards 1st Battalion: The elite light role infantry unit of 600 men.

New scabbard is marked "HDRT5"

Any idea who made the scabbard?

There should be a stamp on the top metal with the makers ID or code. Can you get a pic of that area?

thats because the novices dont study close enough to know the differences , the P1907 and the japanese type 30 have a lot in common as the latter was the inspiration for the pattern 1907 bayonet as finally developed , the early japanese scabbards differed tho , but in the end you found what you wanted ,

BTW there was an experimental 'long' version of the P1903 that was considered in trials as well , the P07 was such a success the P1913 bayonet and later M1917 bayonet were almost direct copies , the M1917 was still being mad4e and issued in viet nam , for the trench guns ,

My late father in law gave my son a "shotgun bayonet" he acquired while working in supply at a military base. It's a refurbished to new 1917 poker with the shotgun issue plastic scabbard. There is a guy selling one on FALFILES marketplace presently made by canadian industries with the black plastic grips for $460...never knew they were worth that kinda coin .

they werent back when , i bought one of the VN canadian made for $75 but foolishly sold it - i dod double my money at the time but would/should have kept it ,

my WIN 97 trench gun has a M1917 of original contracts that had hashed out brit P14 markings , its also in the WWII US M1917 plastic scabbard , made by B M Co , im not parting with this one ,

PADDY - does your scabbard have the almond shaped stud or the round ?

It is almond shaped.

The bayonet did not come with a scabbard.
