Most of that is crude oil. USA exports more oil than it imports. The issue is oil USA gets from shale fracking - they aren't set-up to refine...so they export it.
Then USA imports heavier crude from Canada & Mexico for refining.
If the other natural resources USA imports from Canada are an issue re: the imbalance...the simple answere is DON'T IMPORT THEM. Use your own. Don't be applying tariffs.

I think this will get back on track fairly soon, Trump will move on, he has other things to do.

When he says “subsidizes” he means the US buys more from Canada than it sells to Canada.  The trade imbalance last year was close to $100B CDN.

He Has no character flaws, he`s a narcissist there for no flaws.

He does have other plans and its clear that it is to threaten, offend, criticize and belittle every nation on this planet.

Buying from Canada is a non an issue when the stuff you buy is stuff you really really need that you can`t get any where else cheaper.

There is a really good chance that we, Canada will end up cutting ties totally with the USA. Trump will then have destroyed a centuries old partnership. Your country heading forward, is potentially looking at total isolation that no one will do trade with. Everyone may think its all a joke but, we the rest of the world see`s it quite differently.
Trump is now seen as a threat to world stability and frankly, he dosn`t care or is incapable of seeing the harm he`s doing.
No one here in Canada can even comprehend the idea of the USA being our enemy, but it`s heading that way.
Just try and remember or realise, we arn`t booing you Americans personally, we`re booing what the USA has become under Donald Trump. But probably you guys too for buying into all this crap.

There`s a running bet here locally as to how long it will take before this buffoon gets one between the eyes.

The relationship twixt USA & Canada - no matter how long The Donald is around - will never be the same again.
This time the bone is broken clean.
Mass exodus of Canadian snowbirds leaving Florida (& other warm spots) selling their properties.
Airlines here are concerned that the number of people cancelling - or switching their travel plans to the States. Don't forget, we can always go elsewhere..for ALOT LESS than Fla. (Cuba, South America, Costa Rica etc.)
The untruths The Donald spews are - for some reason - swallowed whole by the American public.
This Musk / Trump alliance is not good for anyone..least of all the American nation as a whole.

Thats not something you see there. I don't think the population is allowed to own any..they are grindingly poor.
More than 10% of the population has fled the country already. Thats mostly young people. It would appear that Cuba has no future, unless they can retain their young folk, & change the gov't.(But that wont happen)

As a Canadian, I was disgusted at the booing by the fans at the Canada/USA hockey gain. I thought I was ashamed to be Canadian by what our current PM has done to our country, but as an ex-hockey player, this was over the top. I can't and won't apologize for Canadians who supported the booing, but I do apologize personally. I'd like to say this isn't the real Canada, but I fear we've gone to far down the Woke leftist rabbit hole to ever return that it may be what we've become. I would welcome Manitoba becoming a state. If I was younger, I would move. This country does not reward hard working men and women, but caters to the lazy and worthless who have never contributed.

I am hoping that Canadians get a wake call like the American did.

Be safe.

Hey we can all vote for PP, he plans to Americanize or health care. I`m out if that`s the case.  Who in Gods name is left or even worth voting for, to put Canada right, I fear no one.

Actually, PP wants a two tiered system. Basic health for all and for those who can and want to pay will have an option to see "private" clinics. So I guess I'd opt for the 2nd tier rather than die in a hospital hallway like we are now. Free health care doesn't work anymore. What doctor wants to live in Canada? What young Canadian kid wants to be a doctor when they can be a YouTube influencer? More money, no commitment. Just my .02 worth...

Let's compare our two country's leaders.
PM Trudeau's overarching concern is to virtue signal to other "Woke" countries and globalists that he is a strong proponent of "The Great Reset" where the plebes will own nothing,  Everything will be supplied by the Central Committee run by the world's elites.  You will receive the bare minimum and to get better housing and other needs you will need to have a high social credit score.  To get a higher social credit score you will have to slavishly follow and endorse Dear Leader's preachings.  Disobey and you will have your bank account seized.  Your firearms have already been turned in for destruction so there's no chance of shooting your way out of Socialism as the adage states.  Tax revenues are to be used for the benefit of the state and especially the PM, not the people.

President Trump's overarching concern is to promote peace and prosperity for American's first, the world second but just as important.  He took immediate action to control our border and deport criminal illegal aliens.  He appointed a like minded individual and entrepreneur to stop the horrendous waste of taxpayer's money and has already cut so much fat from the budget he is promoting a $5,000 refund for every American taxpayer paid from the savings.  On the world stage he negotiated the Abraham Accords which normalized relations between Israel and several Arab states during his first term.  More recently Trump was instrumental in negotiating the Israeli/Hamas ceasefire and prisoner exchange and has presented some outside the box thinking about the future of Gaza.  Currently, he has brought Russia to the negotiating table to end the war in Ukraine. Yes, Ukraine won't be completely satisfied with the agreement but they WILL sign in the end for the many economic benefits closer ties with the U.S. will bring.  Practically speaking, what are Ukraine's options anyway?  Further, there are long term benefits for the world if Russia is pulled away from the unholy trinity of China/North Korea/Iran.  Trump is single-handedly dismantling the Woke Industrial Complex and has passed EO's banning men in women's sports, taxpayer funded gender reassignment surgeries, and DEI indoctrination of our children.
Short sighted people may despise Trump for his demeanor and strongarm tactics but when the scales of benefit to America and the World are measured accurately, fairly, and without national hubris and hysteria President Trump will be remembered as one of the greatest Presidents ever.
