I’ve just bought a No5 carbine which has a serial number of B333.
Apart from marking's on the barrel/ bolt there is not a lot else.
Would I be correct in saying that it was make/ produced at BSA and it is production date of 1944.  Any information are direction would be greatly appreciated.

There are a few threads I’ve followed, but after anymore insider info.

I’ve also got a 1956 no4.

Regards
Andy

BSA marked theirs on the left wrist while FAZ marked theirs on the left receiver ,

Mine is a Faz made 8/44, serial A1249, if your is a Faz as mentioned marked on the receiver left side then yours was made not long after mine, Should be dated as well, Electro penciled, sometimes pretty faint.
If on the wrist socket then its BSA.

Sorry for a late response.
There is a number stamped on the wrist band with the serial number B333. There is some stencil on the left side of the receiver, which is almost invisible to the naked eye and even a magnifying glass. It’s nothing like my no4, which is a ROF rifle.
