Liberals seem to have jumped ahead of the Conservatives in ratings.
They are promising to save us from Trumps policies. Either way Canada can not endure any more bad Gov`t.
And the biggest problem is there really isn`t any one worth voting for, Provincially of federally. We`re broken really really bad.
Today I decline at the polls. Seems to be the only valid choice.

To survive you need to cut the cancer out.
Of course the cancer fights back...
Trump may not be the best cure, but it's the only one right now.
I wish he would annex France while he's at it Tongue

Must be a provincial thing.  I have friends and family living in British Columbia most of whom love President Trump, like Poilievre, and despise Trudeau with a burning passion.  Here in the U.S. President Trump's approval rating has slipped slightly but is still above 50% and fully 63% of American's support what DOGE is doing.  The Swamp is angry and fighting back as expected but the level of waste and corruption that DOGE is revealing is breath-taking.  Just this morning Fox news reported a former Biden regime apparatchik was receiving $12 Million dollars a month to operate an overflow shelter for illegals that was completely empty.  His company, according to filings went from a value of $8.3 Million to a valuation of $520 Million thanks to the government contract.  Yesterday the new head of the FBI, Kash Patel uncovered a plot by a previous head JamesComey to use two female FBI agents in a "Honeypot" scheme to discredit President Trump before the 2016 election.  They were ordered to have sex with him which then would have been made public so he would lose the election.  This is straight up KGB sh*te! Democrats are ginning up the querulous useful idiots here in the U.S. just as the Liberals are doing the same in Canada.  I have no doubt the Liberals are as corrupt as the Democrats, I just thank God we have President Trump to set the U.S. back on the right track again.  Hopefully Canadians can see through the CBC bullsh!t and kick the Liberals to the curb.

Kick to the curb, nice thought, but as you know, our political system is a little different than the US`s, plus you have a strong constitution.
Our constitution has pretty much been kicked to the curb thanx to Trudeau. We protest we get trampled by foreign cops dressed up like Canadian cops on horse back, or get thrown in jail with out rights. Oh did I mention we don`t have freedom of rights.
Oh did I mention we`re really really broken, and there isn`t anyone worth their salt to vote for including
PP. He`s going to fix our health care system, pay as you go private clinics, that`l hurt in many ways you`s in the south can not understand.
If the liberals get voted back in, this country will implode.....

The healthcare system in the U.S. is absolutely top notch, it really is.  It just happens to be relatively expensive with healthcare insurance and prohibitively expensive without.  Here's my personal experience with American healthcare:  2 1/2 years ago I was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Prostate Cancer and began treatment for it which involved two biopsies, two MRIs, a PET scan, fiducial insertion, 40 Proton therapy visits and a Lupron injection every 6 months for two years.  The two tumors they found have been obliterated and my PSA is virtually zero.  I received an EOB (Explanation of Benefits) from my insurer and they paid out a total of $200,000 for my cancer treatment.  My cost, other than my monthly premiums which I have to pay anyway was $5,000 over the two years of treatment.  My monthly premiums were $500/ month with a maximum annual out-of-pocket expense of $2,500 for a total of $8,500/year for all healthcare I receive in a year.  I left Canada 24 years ago so I have no idea how much out-of-pocket costs are absorbed by the average citizen per year.
I'm a member of a bi-national Prostate cancer group on Facebook and all we hear is tales of woe from the Canadian members.  They fear the long waits for diagnostic visits and some with the financial means have flown to the U.S. for treatment, one actually came to the clinic I was being treated at:  The Texas Center for Proton Therapy in Irving, TX.  I met him and talked about the differences in healthcare quality between the two countries and his two biggest complaints were wait times for treatments and no PET scans allowed in Canada as a diagnostic tool for prostrate cancer that had metastized to the bone.  We also talked expense and he was getting a 30% discount for paying cash.  I assume he was very wealthy.  Wealthy Canadians have been going to the U.S. for treatment for decades and I remember a Canadian Conservative floating the idea of allowing pay for service clinics in Canada which was quickly shot down by Gene Cretin saying, "Dere no be no too tere helt cair sytdem ever in Canaja!"

The costs you quoted would be prohibitive to my family, I`d be dead already. Non of us up here can barely afford food.
Since all the prohibitive price increases and the shyte the Libs have done to our economy. Life is extremely tough. I get Canada pension plan only, 500/month, my wife has to continue working until she fails over which is any day now. We now have a mortgage(extended line of credit) again, just to survive. I thought my mortgage days were over 15yrs ago!!!
Between us we make 58K/yr before taxes, my wife`s income tax shows a large negative result every year, and our average cost to live is around 62k/yr, just surviving. No trips, shyte food, no new clothing or entertainment. Cars only used to get the wife to work, auto insurance is just another monthly bill... basically prisoners in our own home.
We used to be comfortable middle class, we`re now nearly wards of the state. Or soon to be... Everything I`ve work my whole for is spiraling down the loo.
When we pass, our kids/grandkids will have ZERO inheritance, we will go to the ground horribly in debt. we`re already horribly in debt.
As far as guns go, I sell stuff I don`t want to sell, to get better collectable stuff. I was hoping them to be valuable inheritance for my kids, they will be long gone before I`m gone I`m sure, either though total prohibition or sold so be can survive in our home of 40+ yrs.
Our biggest blow was when my newly acquired car broke and we were forced to buy again, more debt, and on and on and on...
Nearly everyone we see at the grocery stores are feeding them selves with credit cards, and I`m sure most of that is minimum monthly payments only.  Its a way of life up hereOuch
That`s the gist of the Canadian back bone, the comfortable middle class. Now an extinct species.

Hows that for angry mans rant... Sorry, but now you know.

Here`s an example of how the gov`t will eventually own everyone. My daughter has no job and has since moved back home.(another mouth to feed but at least not on the streets...)
I told here to apply for a credit card just to see if she`d get one. Guess what, approved for a 10k high interest card. Debt for the sake of debt.

You Know, the more I realize just how Sh!tty it is up here...., Pls inform Trump he needs Canada by any means available.
At this point I don`t care where I live. I`ve already told my youngest, "when you`re my age I`m not sure where you`ll be, but I`m sure it won`t be Canada"
It`ll either be a US protectorate or Western China...Shocked

Take a deep breath... Cons still have a decent (10 point lead) in latest polls. Carney, if he wins the Libtard leadership KNOWS that his dirty past will come out. It already is. I believe Freeland (although I think she is a dyed in the wool commie) would give PP a better run than Carney, but you really need to stop watching Canadian mainstream media coverage. It is so left leaning and they are doing what the legacy media tried in the US, paint a rosy picture for the Woke party.

I feel your pain Shiloh.  I struggled for decades to raise my three kids and support my wife when I was living in Canada.  I was driven into personal bankruptcy in the early 1980's when interest rates went through the roof and construction virtually shut down.   We once lived on peanut butter and jam sandwiches for a week and I was reduced to stealing toilet paper from public restrooms for our personal use.  B.C. Hydro disconnected our electricity and since our house was on well water I had to run a generator to fill the toilets after flushing.  Lots of fun!  I think I have a mild form of PTSD as the mere thought of being poor again terrifies me.

Polls are polls, nothing more than that. I don't put any credence in polls. Most of the pollsters take a sample population around 1000-1500 people. That is hardly anything. Pollsters also take samples from the biggest population centers in Eastern Canada. Toronto/Montreal/Ottawa.

There were lots of people crowing about Harris winning in a landslide, using a horribly flawed Iowa poll (among others) as “evidence” to support their claims, and we all know how that turned out.

we all knew how it was going to turn out when they said that - propaganda dont make it so ,

Yep, pure propaganda.  But those were the same idiots that said Biden was cognitively functional.  he!!, Biden was such a great candidate he wasn’t even on the ballot.  A sucker is born every minute, and there’s a lot of minutes……

Methinks it was a " anything but a Liberal" issue. Too many people aren't able to differenciate twixt Federal & Liberal politicians.
However, it all boils down to ONE issue (IMHO): " A Liberal is a Liberal is a Liberal."

One difference I've noticed between Liberals and Conservatives and this holds true for both countries is that Liberals are immature emotionally and have a knee jerk reaction to everything so they can enjoy a few minutes of immediate gratification virtue signaling their support for the cause-du-jour without any concern for downstream effects of bad legislation.  Conservatives actually care about the future effect of legislation that gets passed and are willing to withhold immediate gratification to get long term beneficial effects.

I find Liberal (Democrat) supporters usually live their lives the same way their parties run their respective countries... in debt and sticking their noses in everybody else's business. The leaders never address issues such as how bad their countries are in regards to financials, preferring to use the media to villify  the more fiscally responsible right of centre parties. Basically liberals prefer sticking their heads in the sand and while not really believing it, because their government is as much of a mess as their lives are, follow along blindly. More and more citizens are getting used to just sticking their hands out (and getting them filled) it's become a way of life. Basically step #1 in the WEF's playbook on how to turn a democracy into socialism. Just my humble opinion...
