he!!o. I cannot find the name of a part on 1917 exploded views, this part is installed in the stock and the screws that compress the trigger guard to the  the action thru  the stock go thru it , 
what are they  called ?

the 1917 is not really an enfield exactly so you have asked something we dont generally encounter , somewhere here i have some info that might help but im thinking it will take time to find it

If this goes through the stock horizontally it is the 'stock bolt' held on by the 'stock bolt nut'
pages 64 and 65 of  Stratton's book on P14 & M1917 rifles

Installed in the stock, and the screws that compress the trigger guard to the action run thru them?  

Gotta be the trigger guard screw collars.

To clarify, when you hold your rifle as if to shoot it is the part you mentioned vertical or horizontal?  Is it a screw or a bolt?
