this is related to the name recognition and remembering faces stuff , im good with some and not so good with others , when we first met my wife and i did a lot of gan=me night get togethers , trivial pursuit and Pictionary stuff with friends we were good at it , she likes it - i did it with her , im not so much interested anymore as my memory is not as sharp as it was 40 years ago , but ... my wife mentioned a game night event here with some prominent locals ... i agreed but to be truthful im not really up to those things any more - i can remember but sometimes it takes a bit to diig in the dusty drawers of my mind to find that file , i guess we shall see , her friends and my friends dont coincide and neither believed we existed for many years , my friends often said that - once i met her friends they said it too , that was interesting , when we first met she met all my friends at that time and went fishing with us as well as had them in our home for a weeks visit, i met her friends and we traveled about the state seeing the sights of their youth , they grew up here - i didnt , so i learned a lot of the local conditions , but later in our lives i got into things she had no interest in and worked part time at a gunclub that developed a lot of friendships she didnt share , she got into politics and developed a lot of friends in that area , we both were aware of each others friends but didnt intermingle them much , the local POW/MIA event was the only cross over and that was her friends crossing into mine - worked fine , then the local radio talk show host became a shared friend and that started to merge our friends and acquaintances , we now share both and so far so good - finally after 35 years of marriage i think all of our friend know both of us exist and whether they like us or not its common knowledge in both circles , i will say this - none of my friends have any issues with her and i have none with her friends , just one more of the interesting aspects of my life oh and we both have relatives that we have not yet met or some of them even know of ...but they are not or relavence in our ciurrent lives so what difference does it make [to quote a former first lady] |

in many ways ive wanted what SEhas but i didnt when i was younger , this one is sticking , been together 40 years and married 35 now so i will safely say the last [even if she would dump me at this point] so seriously speaking im not real comfortable with her signing me up as a delegate to the state primaries , its not so much that i dont want to do it , ive never thought that much about it but im a little disturbed that she didnt discuss it with me - i know why , because i would have said no - but im feeling a bit trapped in that her friends are all expecting me to carry through ....i will , long as i dont have to miss work or any other thing i want to do ,

i really hear you both - i didnt think there would be but one but 10 years in she made it clear , and the second at 8 years in went a bit crazy , so i had thought as you , im glad it occurred as it did , i have two fantastic kids and six fantastic grandkids thanks to this marriage , but i assure you there will not be a fourth - so hollywood can stuff it with their multiple mariage records , im not competing in this race
