Before you abuse me for being a bubba, this is something I pulled off an Australian forum.

The rifle was already butchered before the bloke started.

Thats sick!  I dont like it... My 2 cents...
I have seen stocks like that for a single shot shot gun though.... Not My cup of Tea....  Assault type stocks belong on a semi auto or Full auto....

Oh?

I've put pistol grip stock on SKEET guns for people who's wrist healed poorly after an accident and another who found it help with their arthritis.

It allowed them to keep shooting, a sport they would have had to give up otherwise.

The younger shooters who follow us are going to be a lot of people who see the "Assault Weapons" styling as normal, it's what they see in the military and on video games.
Pistol grips are more comfortable than the ol'school stocks, they are being fitted to an increasing number of sporting guns.

I understand that they are more comfy... I have shot just about every configuration of the M-16, I built my own AR-15 and do realize that the assault style is Comfy... But in My opinion it does not belong on a Bolt Gun or a Crack Barrel( Breach Break action) sorry I'm not trying to bust your Balls but you dont run into a House fire with a Bucket of water and you dont put out a camp fire with a fire truck..... Common sense... now after tonight tells me that if some one does not tell me they have arthritis then I will assume them silly..............Single shot with assault grips??? LOL!!!!
SORRY JUST MY 2.5% CENTS>>>>>>>

I'm with you there,Rhino. BUT..What he said about the folks w/handicaps usin 'em...HHmmmm.Gives me an idea.My hands are screwed(thanx to Henry) & I find-especially in cooler weather, that my thumb(which no longer has the benefit of cartilidge in the joint) is becoming increasingly difficult.I'm wonderin if Trap/Skeet shootin -for me-couldnt be more comy?

My only real problem with your opinion is your insistence on calling them "Assault Grips".

They are Pistol style grips, we need to avoid using anything resembling "Assault ----?" among ourselves, the anti's don't need our help to hang us!

You might remember that several classic guns used "Pistol grip" stocks, including the venerable Win. 94 and several shotguns.
Not as pronounced as the current version, but pistol grip's go back a LONG way.

It's not for me, but I think it is a neat looking rifle. Wonder how it shoots?

Well the reason why this bloke is making the thing is because he wants a "scary black rifle to sh*t the anti's" as we cant have self loading rifles over here.

That and he wanted to play in his shed. It looks like a No4 that was made into a look alike No5, made into something else...

Whilst it don't work for me personally ! I think if this is what the man wants .....So be it! I personally don't like the expression of "Assult type grip" To me it conjures up images of the standard issue "Urban Commando " type person (we all know the type ) To me it's a pistol grip by any other name

Yep, "Urban commandos" are also known as "mall ninjas" LOL

But but hey, if it goes bang still I dont have a problem with it, especially as the rifle was already heavily modified by someone else before he had a go at hacking it up.

I like it! Then again Im an EBR guy too.

If Obama gets elected that may well be the 'assault rifle' of the 'future'

Looks like it would be a decent scout rifle
