comfortable with the process. It’s short, just 3 pages.
To print this out from the
forum do this:
LEFT CLICK on “TOPIC OPTIONS”
IN THE TOP RIGHT OF THE WINDOW. LEFT CLICK ON “Printable Version” then when the
re done window opens LEFT CLICK on “Print Page” when done LEFT CLICK on “Close
Window" This is not the fastest
method; there are several others that are faster. But it is the safest, easiest
& most foolproof one as it uses pictures & lots of safety checks for
new users who aren’t really sure what is going on. STEP #1:
Make a folder (directory) to
store your small copies in.
***If you have a folder just
to keep copies of pictures in you can skip this step, you only need one folder
for this. ***
LEFT CLICK on the “start”
button in the bottom right hand corner of your monitor screen.
LEFT CLICK “Pictures” on the
list that shows up.

pictures) you want to copy & shrink, & move a duplicate into the folder
you made, or use.
***If you have copies of
pictures in already you can skip this step, & go to step 3, making them
smaller.***
Click, double click & so
to get to where you keep the pictures. (Pretty much what you did before, but go
to the folder they’re stored in.)
Look up in the top right
corner, there is a little icon (graphic) looking like a picture of grass &
sky, next to it is a small black triangle pointing down.
When you put the mouse over
it a double box shows up. LEFT CLICK on the arrow in this box.
Either click on, or drag the
slider to the option that says “EXTRA LARGE ICONS”

picture.

want to store for later work. A bunch of options pops up; one is “OPEN WITH”.
Put your cursor over “OPEN
WITH”. A bunch of names pop up. Pick whichever one you like &SINGLE LEFT
CLICK.
*** Note I’m using “PAINT”
or "MS Paint” in this example just because 99% of Windows users have this
program, even if it isn’t turned on. It’ll turn itself on & off as needed
just by you picking it. Feel free to use whatever photo-editing program you
like as they’ll all do what you need. ***
A new window opens with a
part of your picture showing.
his is your picture at full
size (100%) It’s probably HUGE.
LEFT CLICK on the icon

the entire load & save options hide.

option. *** IMPORTANT!:***-SAVE AS, NOT
SAVE!
LEFT CLICK on “. JPG”, this
saves the picture in the right way.
The same window choice as
before pops up, showing you all the places you can save it to.

list that shows up.

item that shows up.

made earlier in a box that pops up. At the bottom center are 2 spaces to write
in. one is FILE NAME & the other is SAVE AS TYPE.They should both be filled in for you, don't mess with them. LOWER DOWN IN THE right
hand corner is 2 “buttons”, SAVE & CANCELL.
LEFT CLICK in the SAVE box.
*** IMPORTANT! ***-Use “SAVE” this time, not “SAVE AS”.
You’re done; a copy is now
patiently waiting for you to come back to. You can close Paint by using the ol
“RED “X” in the top right hand corner.
Go back to the start of step
2 & repeat as needed for more pictures.

the entire load & save options hide.

shrunk down to a small 800 X 800 file that is perfect for posting (& fast
too). You can close Paint by using the ol “RED “X” in the top right hand

Step #3: For each picture to shrink them all. Try it out, it takes way longer to type in, or read than it does to do. You only make the folder once & then go right to step 2 & 3. Please feel free to critique, ask questions or post problems that I've missed & I'll try to keep it 100% current.
