Thanks for the nice welcoming fella's. I am looking forward to purchasing my first, probably a No 4 Mk1, here in a couple of days. From what I have read it looks like a good idea is to match serial #'s on the receiver as well as the bolt. Any other tips for a first time buyer. I think that this will make a great hunting rifle for Elk and deer here in the Great NW USA. I have enjoyed this site for a month or so now and am glad to a part of it.

unless you have one picked out already look for a mk2 , [or mk1/2 , mk1/3 ] they have the trigger hung from the reciever , and shoot a bit better for it , but you really cant go wrong with an enfield
