I'm off work this week after a minor operation. So just starting to watch Band of Brothers on DVD.
Pass the time of day! Been reading up on Dunkirk as well. That was supposed to be my vacation book but didn't get time to read it then.
I'm looking forward to getting back to the L39 load tests. I have a reasonably accurate load but it's still slow! 41 grains of Tubal 5000 only giving 2450 feet/sec with the 155gr Matchking orgives. I'll be testing some Tubal 3000 which is a faster powder to see if it's any better.
I currently use the 3000 in the No4 rifle and the 5000 in the No1 rifle.

I'm signed off for next week as well. Need to get the stitches healed before getting back into work. (I work on vehicles; so plenty of opportunity for infection or split stitches!)

Yep, get that healed up... grease and dirt dont get along well with stitches and they do tend to snag every thing it seems !!!
I know we have a policy over here that as a Mech. we cant go back to work with fresh wounds like that .... I was Lucky when I was at ExxonMobil due to me being the Superintendent and had office duties that needed taken care of... so I was able to go back with no Loss of man hours for my accident !!!  that was the only reason they let me come into the plant with stitches though and the fact the accident happened at work ...so they didnt want a loss time incident on their record !!
