I just ordered one of these aim correctors today. Has anyone tried using one before? It was used by instructors for training recruits. It is marked C No1 Mk2 dated 1940.

The instructor looks in from the side & the 45 prism lets him see your sight alignment. Then he can coach you on any changes needed. Neat little gizmo.
This is a No4 one in use the No1 you have clips round the forend/handguard & the instructor is moved as needed.

Oh I see then, so mine is for a #1 rifle. I edited the title to reflect that fact. Thanks for the response and clarification, Shamu!

Why does that instructor look like if you messed up you'd get a cuff in the ear?

Probably because you would!
"JERKED TRIGGER! 'ORRIBLE LITTLE MAN!" *whack*.
Ouch

Here's the No1 you have fitted to a SMLE
