I have reached the part of my life where I must 'let go of some of my toys' as my wife puts it. This year is the fiftieth anniversary of when I was given the rifle that my grandfather carried during WWII. I never advertised but I will no longer be restoring Bubba'd rifles. A problem for me other than letting go is what to ask for things that I have held onto for a relatively long time. I hope that someone on this site can give me advice regarding a fair price.

I have most individual parts from both the No1 MkIII and the No4 Mk1 rifles. This includes barrel rings, safety parts, trigger group parts, firing pins, cocking pieces, front and rear sights, and others. Some are unused new old stock and others are used but usable. I will not sell badly worn or rusted parts. I do have a small selection of No1 and No4 buttstocks as well as sporterized forestocks. I have some No1 MkIII stripped receivers that are unfortunately only for sale in Canada.

I have a small selection of No4, No5, and C No7 rear sights, mostly C-Broad Arrow or Long Branch marked. These include MkI, MkII, MkIII, and C MkIII sights for the No4.

Finally, I have an original, correct magazine cut-off for a No1 MkV rifle. I have had it long enough that I have forgotten where I got it and how much I paid for it. My own one of these rifles does not need it.

Pics are available for parts. All parts are in western Canada but will not be advertised on any other site until those on this site have had a chance at them. Suggestions for prices could be PM'd or be posted here if it does not upset the moderators.

Things like condition will factor in heavily.
FWIW here's my suggestion
Root about in e-pay & see what auctions are selling for, Then base your pricing on that.
"Asking price" is NOT "selling price"!
Write up a big block ad with everything (including condition & so on) & post it here, Ask what you consider a fair price & see what happens.

In my humble opinion and experience, what you think the parts are worth and what EBay lists them for, expect to get half. By all means, because you are the seller, you can ask top dollar. If you are willing to sit on the parts and wait for the top dollar price, it may happen. Again, in my experience, it doesn't... at least not very often.

I don't know offhand if I have any early Lithgow parts  but I will look to see if there are any mixed in with what I know contains Canadian, British, and American parts. Should I go to a PM for this?
