This whole Covid thing seems to put everyday life in limbo. I couldn't seem to get into relaxing hobbies because I didn't want to commit the time. Reading history books, reloading, etc... Well, I gave myself a kick in the butt the other day and started reloading a summers shooting worth of bullets for my Enfields. Just about done!

True, I've become a complete couch potato.

last couple of weekends have been too cold in my shed to get anything done.
Plus have to help out at our club with some work repairing and upgrading the 50metre range.
But I'm on holiday next week, so will be at home to chill for a week; and probably a "honey do" list as long as my armWacko
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!

I just finished a rebarrel on my AR.  Now has a Bartlein 1:7 match barrel.  Itching to go out and test it. Hopefully Friday.  Temp warmed up nice today in Atlanta.

i got the two weeks "off" when i was furloughed back in march [near a year ago now] i did a lot of stuff then , but then i went back to work and didnt get any free time till this past month ,

i took advantage of that and loaded all my 45 colt cowboy rounds that i had components for , then i prepped everything as far as i could go for the 38 spcl cowboy rounds i need small pistol primers for , hopefully i can find a few thousand of those to complete that task soon ,

now im going to start on the 4570 long range cowboy rounds - hoping to fit it in but i went back to work the first of feb and havent had time since , the gunclub is scheduled to reopen in mid march , jugling two jobs sounds fun in my new retirement mode ,

a few years back, I got a Trapdoor Springfield, .45-70.  I got some starline .45-70 brass and a 500 gr bullet mold. Cast a bunch of 20:1 lead/tin bullets.  Loaded up with Fg Black.  What a lot of fun!  Unfortunately, the bore was quite pitted and muzzle well worn.    So, I hung it up and now just looks good on the wall.

Same here at getting stuff Not done.
Farm work that needs doing, yes, anything else, not so much!
Did get most of my 7.62 x 54R loaded, and some Swedish Mauser. Some 215's for the .303..
Some .22-250 , but only have FMJ bullets and local stores have no S. P or H-P bullets.

Not sure FMJ will work on coyotes.

Brit R,
For the .45 -70, try a lube on the bullet noses prior to chambering.
Yes, sounds all arong, but found this makes a Vast difference with the Snider-Enfield.
That, and some felt wads below the bullet, so the bullet leaves the bore prior to the gas blast by in the worn muzzle.
I found "Udderly Smooth" from Wally world works V well.  :-)
Lots of us over on BMF use it now. LOL.
