Smith & Wesson 455

 Anyhow stopped at a fellows table looking at some martini cadets and he had a couple pistols at the end of the table and I saw one  -a large frame smith had a lanyard ring with a barrel slightly longer than a US model 1917. Went right to it and it's a smith in 455 with brit proofs , mint bore and cylinders , uncut , no import buggering , and matching. He asked $795 and I asked him how low he'd go. Got it for $750. It's got a fair amount of holster wear . This sure looks like it was carried in the trenches o minimally carried alot while in british use.  Got home and used up the last 12 factory fiocchi 455's I had instead of my better quality reloads. I bought two boxes of Fiocchi 455 a couple years ago and it's some real low quality ammo. Lots of bang , then weak rounds and in 100 rds I got two squibs  one today even that I used a rod to tap it out of the forcing cone. Glad that factory Fiocchi is all used up now - garbage ammo but good brass , although it uses small primers. I did meet and old timer I have to email as he said he had some webley holsters at home he would sell !!!!!!. I hope he is not nose bleed on them.  Well , enjoy the pictures.
