That small head nosecap screw is perfect.
Much nicer than the Mk2 "Mushroom head" one used to allow attachment of the "Flanders Flap". That big head, standing proud of the nosecap, always gets beat all to heck & looks terrible.
The smaller slightly recessed one is much more durable & elegant.

That's my 1914 BSA "Queen of the La Brea Tar pits" special with the big screw. The small one is in the minty Lithgow.
