Mark G,

We had our first "Simo Hayha " sniper shoot a few weeks back, it was minus 20C but not bad. have all shot in colder stuff I think.  :-)

ThudClang,

I remember being up in the Piece country in May.  Ground was cold on a morning as it was half froze still underneath, but temp was around 101 degrees to 103 degrees in the old money.
It felt Hot!

Still around minus 30C here.   Cows need feeding and bedding well as you say.

Ok you folks up there are going for record (or so it seems) lows. Yesterday down here we tied the record high of 84. Which was set last year.
Please send a little just a little of that cold down to us. I'll tr to send some warm your way.
Like that will work.

Ya, its bad when I first have to shovel out to get the Jeep door open to get to my snow brush.

Another six weeks and we will be through the worst of it.

I've done one camping trip this year already at -30c low overnight. No bugs!
With temps that low, snow is a good insulator when pitching tents.

The 'H' in Canadian Forces is for 'Happy'

My sister in law just got down here today from St Paul, Minn area I'll tell her what she is missing. Maybe she will want go back home. LOL Don't think that she will.
Going to reeactment this weekend Mt Dora, Fla temps should be 84 to 86. Anyone want to walk around in wool uniforms this weekend? Come on down. Think about those folks riding in a Sherman tank or any of the other vehicles. Please bring some cool with you.

My sister in law had to put up with 87 today. With most of the Northern Airports closed or whatever she said that she stay here for a while. At the other sisters house, which works with me.
Good Luck with your weather. Too Hot or too cold. Whatever. I'm drinking extra water and you Northern folks add another layer of clothes. With most of my side of the Family North of the Twin Cities, Minn. I can understand the cold side.  Been there done that.

Up into the negative teens today, but back to the negative twenties next week.

Maybe I'll get a chance to get to the range sometime in March!

The nieghbour came over with his equipment & made a path to the front door (in case they came up - which they did). I told 'em..U better get a snow rake. Joe said he heard the roof creakin all nite.

There was a news story a few days ago about roofs collapsing in Quebec because so much snow had built up on them and the owners hadn't cleaned it off. We just have bits of ice falling off ours on the warmer days when it's sunny enough to melt.
