   Yes. The city of Kennesaw, Ga. passed a "Must Have a firearm" law (Unless you had a moral or religious objection) statute right after Morton Grove IL did their midnight total ban nonsense back in the '80's.
"Kennesaw is noted for its unique firearms legislation, passed in response to a handgun ban in Morton Grove, Illinois. In 1982 the city passed an ordinance [Sec 34-21]:^[36]

(a) In order to provide for the 
emergency management of the city, and further in order to provide for 
and protect the safety, security and general welfare of the city and its
 inhabitants, every head of household residing in the city limits is 
required to maintain a firearm, together with ammunition therefore.
(b) Exempt from the effect of this section are those heads of households
 who suffer a physical or mental disability which would prohibit them 
from using such a firearm. Further exempt from the effect of this 
section are those heads of households who are paupers
 or who conscientiously oppose maintaining firearms as a result of 
beliefs or religious doctrine, or persons convicted of a felony."

	My point is, the fact that our current government is making gun ownership harder and harder is contrary to the position of armed citizens defending their country. Do I think Trump wants a good agreement with Canada to invest in our vast natural resources (which don't do anything for Canada if they sit in the ground, except make us a target for China)? Yes. It would benefit both countries. Do I think he would "invade" Canada? Of course not. It's all a moot point because if the US did decide to invade, it would all be over by the time you read this post. Our government has made our military and our people weak... I tell Trump haters in my family to not direct hate towards a strong leader and party doing what is best for their country, direct it to the leader and party that isn't.
